The new 5,000 square foot house, located on Linda Isle in Newport Harbor, is built on a very restricted 45 by 125 foot property. The house is designed to maximize the site with a formal entry courtyard on the street and a broad open terrace and dock on the water. The plan is organized by a central axis which runs from the entrance to the water. Along the axis is a carefully designed series of interior spaces which sequentially open to small, private gardens as you move through the house. The gardens provide a variety of plantings, paving, water features, and views from each of the living spaces. The private areas on the upper floor open to gardens and roof terraces.
